One day I got an e-mail from fellow photographer Brian C. Janes asking me if I was interested in shooting a couples shoot for some friends of his since he would be busy with his current project All That Glitters, I said hell ya. And when he said they were interested in shooting at the Salton Sea, I said HELLZ YA!
I have always wanted to shoot at the Salton Sea. The dead salt-encrusted fish, the creepy abandoned houses and that smell. If that doesn't scream romance I don't know what does. Seriously, it's the perfect landscape.
Jade and Charlie are a beautiful couple whose love for each other is apparent but against that post-apocalyptic atmosphere it became magical. I had an amazing time with these two.
Thanks to Jade and Charlie! And a big thanks to Brian for getting us together.

I had the distinct pleasure of photographing a special catering event for a local favorite Italian restaurant called Giuseppe's.
Giuseppe's is run by an amazing lady named Terry who is very passionate about her restaurant and it shows in her food and the way she makes people feel as if they are family when they come to dine.
In addition to the restaurant, Giuseppe's also provides catering for any occasion. They offer a full range of dishes from appetizers to dessert. Giuseppe's provides the friendly staff, table settings and decor.
This particular event was for a 50th wedding anniversary set in the couples backyard. They were joined by friends and family and were treated by Terry herself and her friendly staff to crab-cakes to cannolis. Yum!
Call Giuseppe's if you are interested in having your next party catered at 818-716-7894
Thanks to Terry for having me be a part of this occasion and for letting me sample some of the "models". :D
I had the pleasure of attending Neil Gaiman's 50th birthday party this November 10, 2010. And, if that wasn't incredible enough the party took place in New Orleans.
I had no idea how much I could fall in love with a city. The people, the food, the music, the soul. Every corner you turn on the streets of the French Quarter there is life.
Thank you to Neil for being such a wonderful human being. Thank you New Orleans for your hospitality. We shall meet again soon.
I brought a DSLR to NOLA but opted for iPhonetography. I wanted to take people along with me on the trip on Twitter through photos as it was happening. I mostly used the Plastic Bullet app on my iPhone 3GS.
